Ingredients
  

  • 6 cups rice cereal (Chex-style)
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup powdered sugar

Equipment

  • Microwave-safe bowl (or saucepan)
  • Large mixing bowl
  • Spatula
  • Large zip-top bag or airtight container

Method
 

  1. Place the cereal in a large mixing bowl and set aside.
  2. Melt the chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter together in the microwave (30-second intervals), stirring until smooth.
  3. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Pour the chocolate mixture over the cereal and gently toss until evenly coated.
  5. Transfer the coated cereal to a large zip-top bag.
  6. Add the powdered sugar, seal the bag, and shake until fully coated.
  7. Spread the Puppy Chow onto parchment paper and let it cool.
  8. Serve or store in an airtight container.
